Scholarship

Each May, the $1,000 Madie Landers scholarship is awarded to a full-time student attending an Illinois or St.Louis area university who has a peranent residency within the Illinois counties of Bond, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, St. Clair, Randolph or Washington. Applicants must be a student at least through the fall semester following presentation of the award and must have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Other requirements are noted on the application.

With money given by the Landers family and yearly donations from members, the scholarship award continues. The following is a list of its recipients, since its inception in 1996. It has and continues to be an honor for SWISHA to welcome new members into the professions with this award.
